People doubt because of the greater prevalence of, or perhaps simply the ease of finding people to believe in, scam artists. Once a person is caught in the net of one and realizes it, everybody simply becomes a scam artist. It isn't fair, and it isn't right, but thats life for you. Better to be a skeptic and not get swindled than to be a victim of a scam artist.
Having said that, though, some things simply must be believed because, quite frankly, who could make up such crazy stuff? In that case, why people doubt is beyond me. If a person says something about themself and they appear to have no particular reason to gain anything by "making it up", I really don't know why people don't believe them. Maybe people are simply afraid of being scammed even if there is truly nothing to be gained of material value by the person describing their circumstances. Makes no sense to me, I tell you.

Trust is probably--------------some people have done things to others that cause them to never be trusted again, so it leaves a big ??? as to why trust them or anyone else now or ever. Doesn't make much sense at times, but that's life.

nowadays, there is so much corruption, and everyone is power crazy and wants the best. for that, they are willing to do anything, even hurting other people. because so many people do this, others can't tell who is good and who is bad, and to be on the safe side, they doubt everyone even if they are good. there is so much strive for fame, fortune, and power, people get lost in it.

When children are sexually abused by family members / women are trapped in domestic violence situations / countries cannot trust their neighbours / religions are at war and polititians lie - we have got to the point where there is no one too trust...

the norm of our life is so rapid that it let us concentrate on what we want only ..we don't appreciate beautiful things ....life is getting hard and people are concentrating on there own interest ..and because we ask for much and e are unsatisfied of what we have we always seek love and care from others and for sure those things are very hard to find ....there is a saying "who lack the thing will not able to give it ' if we don't trust ourselves how shall we trust others ...and others if they don't love themselves how they will love me ..i don't get anything of my answer do you ?hehehe

People don't like to get fooled by anyone. So they r suspicious of everyone until proven innocent.

personally speaking i used to wear my trust on my sleeve, but ive been hurt a lot. and nothing kills trust like a few instances of distrust. its simply hard to bounce back...
