Don't name her Ava...that's what EVERYONE is doing these days. Also names like Amy, Ashley, and Alicia are a dime a dozen and were more popular in the 80s.

I knew a girl named Astaire once (named after Fred Astaire). She was really cool and I think the uniqueness of her name contributed to her outgoing personality.

I also like the names Amara(which means beauty), Adelaide and Addison, Alabama, Alyse, and Atiana. (Though Addison is quickly growing in popularity). Also, if you DO like the name Ava, my English professor named his daughter Avelyn (Ay-Va-Lin) which was a combination of Ava and Evelyn.
