Total national income, as the term is usually used, is running at $13.3 trillion dollars and growing about 6% a year (that is "nominal" GDP growth.) That is the US's GDP. You may be interested to learn that as a percentage of GDP, military spending is far, far lower than it was during much of the 20th century, from before World War II through the end of the Cold War in the 1990s. By the standards of most of the last century, the US is being very, very frugal with its military spending.
