Can you give me any historical movie that was not distorted in some fashion?

It is widely believed Alexander was Bi-sexual, he had a wife and a son, but it is believed he had at least one male lover. At the time it was not considered Taboo, in fact it was more about beauty than the sex of your partner. Naturally many people, just as today, had a preference to either men or women, but if you choose to be involved with the same sex it was not discouraged.

Alexander did lose his last battle and that occurred in India.

He was stabbed by a spear that had also gone though his horse. many people believe that Alexander became infected by horse hair or flesh that was caught on the spear point and it contributed to his death.

However many people argue these points but for the most part most historians agree.

I have not actually seen the movie, I have heard things, but never had the time or interest. Always take what you see in movies with a grain of salt.

Ok, it was not uncommon in Greece or Macedonia for men to have male consorts, bisexuality wasn't looked upon in the same way it is now, Alexander probably did have many consorts of both sexes.

As for India in the end he did suffer several injuries but it was serious exaustion of his troops and a muntany by them refusing to march against another very powerful arm to which he ended up conceding the conquest of going any further east past the Hyphasis River and marched south insted.

Within the movie there is a grain of truth, but its just a movie anyway.

The movie itself was a distortion of film. (or a total waste of it if you ask me) Also, it was not uncommon for the men of that era to engage in homosexual relations. It was a given for men to "love" eachother.

The gay thing is probably correct but that was nothing back then.

The battles were somewhat correct as well.

The costumes were off and the scenery but lets face it. It is a movie.
