Ovechkin would kill Crosby. Anyone who knows anything about Ovechkin knows he's a tough SOB and, while mostly a finesse player, possesses elements of a power forward.

Not to take anything away from Crosby, but he's strictly a finesse player.

Both are young though so it will be interesting to see how they develop.

I would say Ovechkin because Crosby is all talk. I saw Crosby play against the Blue Jackets and he talked a lot of smack and got pushed around like a rag doll. Ovechkin just seems like an all around good physical player but Crosby has more of the Gretzky style playing where he uses speed and stick handling to score, not brute force. Could you imagine the TV ratings and how many times it would appear on the net if those two actually did get into a fight? Almost like something you'd see on pay-per-view.

I'm going to say Crosby because he has had more exposure to rough and tumble hockey than Ovekchkin in Maritime AAA midget and then the QMJHL. Ovechkin on the other hand came up in a little more sheltered system within the Moscow Dynamo club.

That's not to say Ovechkin is a momma's boy and Crosby is tough guy, just that the Russian way of developing young hockey players is somewhat different from what goes on in rinks in Rimouski or Dartmouth, etc.

Ovechkin would lay him out in a second. I like both players but Alex is clearly the more aggresive player that is not afriad to scrap. I am sure Crosby could fight if he really wanted to, but his hands are worth too much. Alex would pound him.
Merry Xmas

Crosby 5'11" 193 pounds
Ovechkin 6'2" 212 pounds

I know size doesn't always matter but I'm putting my money on Ovechkin

Ovechkin by TKO.

Sid the Kid is way out matched physically, in size as well as style.

Sid would run home to mommy, hence the decision goes to Ovechkin.

That's easy: Ovechkin. He's bigger, stronger, and he's not a crybaby like Crosby was last year. Once a crybaby, always a crybaby and he'll curl up in a fetal position.

No Ovy could attempt it yet as quickly as Sid is in subject an excellent guy will step in. Now i'm a bigtime Crosby basher yet i'm surely no longer getting on him this time. that's in basic terms how that's for skill/finesse gamers. the comparable way the Flyers bounce to Brierre's protection, or the Rangers (hopefuly, bearing directly to that one mishap with Carcillo) could take care of Gaborik, or the Canucks could pay attention for Sedin. that's in basic terms how that's. Now Ovy is a celebrity participant too yet he's distinctive. he's a larger, better guy and oftentimes would not choose for any backup. EDIT: I in no way reported the Caps does no longer take care of Ovechkin I do in basic terms no longer think of he desires it. yet you strengthen an particularly good factor that i did no longer even think of of. Who could wanna stop that?

Cosby all the way!
He'll just slap on a sweater, hit the competitor with jello, and go on about his business!
