Small companies are more work. You've gotta take out the trash yourself, etc., but, it's more on YOU'RE shoulder to make things go. and more likely that you'll get what you need to continue with what you want to do.

Bigger companies have the better benefits, though. Well established with health, dental, vision, holidays, etc. More people in a given field and more politics. AKA, I can do it better than you can and I'll just sit and watch you fail.

If you're an accomplished master and love politics, go with the big company. Small companies offer more local support and training w/out the hassle.

Fast-tracking is ALWAYS though small companies and never corporations, as a rule of thumb.

It's purely dependent upon the specific company... Go look at the top companies to work for in the U.S. list, some startups some fortune 50 companies... I 'cheat'... I work 3-5 years for a Fortune 500 to have some security, then switch it up and go start a company of my own, build it for 5 years, then sell it off and take a bigger job with a different Fortune 500 company...etc.

It's a personal choice. I like getting lost in the crowd.
