I am going to have to say "Jayden". It is the best name for a boy.
And, if you go down through the roots of the name, you will find that it actually means: Little Fire. That is perfect.

Where as,
Keegan means: Small and fiery, bright flame
- also cute but I like Jayden better

Trace means: A form of Tracy
- if you look up Tracy, it means: From Tracy in France
- not exactly something good for a boy
- also a name for girls

Kyler means: Church, Monk's Cell
- this name is also for girls
- but the meaning alone is something I would stay away from when naming my little boy

Rayne means: Strong counselor. From the ancient personal name Ragnar
- this is okay but not as great as Jayden!

#1 is definitely Kyler. My daughter was going to be Kyler if she was a boy. (We named her Kylie.) :)

#2 is Keegan. I love that name for a little boy! I think it is strong yet unique. A nice choice.

#3 is Jayden. I like it but I would not go with it. It is WAY TOO overused.

#4 is Trace. I don't really like it at all. I am not a fan of naming people after things. It sounds contrived and people would probably make fun of him for "tracing" something.

#5 is definitely Rayne. That is, without a doubt, a girl's name.

Good luck!

I would go with Jayden or Kyler. Both are fairly safe when it comes to obnxious nicknames, and can be easily shortened to Jay and Kyle. They are also self explanitory when it comes to pronounciation, so there won't be ayearly irritant at school. When it comes down to the final choice, avoid bad initials (some of my friends have things like AMW which reminds people of rootbeer, DIC, EAT, ELK, and the dreaded SEX), sadly this can be just as bad or even worse than some nicknames. Just, in the end make sure the name "fits" and sounds good together. If you like it, that is all that matters.
