Dont apply there. If you have a tech background, apply to those types of jobs. Sometimes employers wont hire someone if they think they will only work there for a short time , until they find something better.

When I was out of high school, had earned one higher education certificate, but was still in college, I had trouble finding part-time work. I think employers with entry-level jobs suspected that I would not stay due to being overqualified. I started putting on applications that I had been trying to find a job for a while and was sincerely looking for a stable entry-level position. I got two offers the first week I added that to applications. Basically, just use your honest communication skills as you have done here.

if you went to a technical school then did you get your certificate? Usually those who work at MacDonalds are high school kids with no career choice yet.
Maybe they are overlooking you because you have made a choice already and should pursue the kind of job you prepared yourself for. Or, maybe there are thousands of applications and they haven't gotten to yours yet, or maybe you weren't home when they called (why not call them and ask). Did you include good references on your application? Did you tell those people you were planning to use them as references?

There are newborn labor regulations and that they are set in place for a reason. or perhaps while an adolescent gets a job in quickly foodstuff there are nonetheless regulations on what they could do. Why you ask? because of the fact maximum young ones are irresponsible and don't pay interest to what they are doing. So then while they get harm simply by their very own stupidity their mom and dad sue the business corporation they are working for and ask for hundreds of thousands and hundreds of thousands. What do you like funds for besides? Are your ordinary desires met? Do you have foodstuff to consume? A roof over your head? clothing on your decrease back? you have it exceedingly good. there are hundreds of youngsters going to sleep this evening that don't have a heat mattress to sleep in. they did no longer have something to consume this evening. will possibly no longer have ate all day long. they have actual problems. so which you do not have funds to throw around and waste. large deal. Your in straightforward terms techniques is that if somebody will pay you to do something like backyard paintings or toddler sitting yet you already reported you will no longer do this. good lady. you're gonna extra wholesome into the working international particularly nicely. ingredient is once you're old adequate to paintings extra suitable than likley you will no longer desire to paintings at McDonald's the two. you will snarl your face and say i'm no longer doing that.

My first answer would be cause you're over qualified and they need someone who won't leave in the first 6 months,
I may be wrong about the actual reason. They get 1000's of applications and only call a few.
With your education, I might try an entry level position like electronic assembly.

You are supposed to call them and tell them you filled out an application and wanted to see if the manager had a chance to look at it yet. They dont want to chase you, you have to go to them because it shows that you want the job. Otherwise, they may just not be hiring at the moment.

Hate to say it, but you have competition. It is not practical for a business to call a bunch of people every week.
Generally, something informal and unbusinesslike such as a "phone call" is reserved for the winners, and usually at higher levels of employment than what McDonald's can afford.
Good luck to you and keep at it. If all else fails, self-employment will do wonders for your attitude...(if not your pocket book...)
