They're really not difficult to take care of - succulents are very tough.
They need plenty of sunshine, so if it's an interior plant you'll want to leave it next to a window.
Water needs are average - you should water whenever the soil gets dry.
I found potting soil worked as well as cactus soil - but you're probably better off with the richer potting soil.
Like all plants, make sure the pot is large enough to accommodate it.

Echeverias need plenty of light and frsh air, this goes for outdoor and indoor plants. They also need plenty of water in the growth period, those with waxy leaves should be watered form the bottom, water on leaves can ruin the waxy coating. Mealy bugs can be a problem for Echeverias, on the root and the leaves. Use a systemic as a soil drench. This is not the growth period for them so do not fertilize until spring.Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. In the spring and summer feed every 3-4 weeks. Your plant will love being outside in the spring and summer, just do'nt scorch it with to much sunlight. Happy Growing!

I just bought this great book at Borders for $7.99 called The World Encyclopedia of Cacti & Succulents by Miles Anderson. It was in the bargain section. It tells you about the plants and how to grow them and take care of them. You might want to see if you can find that book.

I agree but i woulnt water every time i saw it was dry, a little less than that. And i would add a little sand to the potting mix. but sun is the most important part. they pretty much look after themselves aside from that.
