All prophesies have a self-fulfilling element. It depends on how much energy (emotion) there is in them. You don't work away from the bad ones. That only puts more energy into them. You work toward the good ones like goals. Of course you have to use self-restraint sometimes.

No, because there have been many so called prophesies that have been way off. About 13 years ago, a "prophet" claimed that Queen Elizabeth was going to resign her post and become a nun. There have been many who have predicted the end of the world time and time again. From a Christian view, the Bible talks about "wolves and sheep's clothing". That's kind of a warning not to believe in most prophecies, with the exception of what is listed in the Bible. It also says that only God knows the time when the world will come to an end. In other religions, it's the same thing.

Today, prophesy is usually based on the law of averages and of studies in a particular area, like weather, catastrophic events, wars, deaths, weddings, etc. Those Doomsday deliverers only want your money and your attention. That goes for palm readers, too.

Not every. Some prophesies have been 'adapted' according to the 'convenience' of times.

No. I believe that, in some cases, action can be taken to stop a prophecy from coming to be.
