Santa was real. Before, there was a guy named St. Nicholas who used to give gifts to children in his area. Thats why some of us call Santa "Jolly old St. Nicholas." He did not have a reindeer and sleigh which could fly. That were later developments by people with wild imaginations.

There are hundreds of thousands of children worldwide who believe in Santa so in their eyes yes he is and there is nothing wrong with having a belief
Santa began as Saint Nicolas and was shortened to Santa and then in other countries he is known as Father Christmas

A lot of people say yes just too have an excuse to hide presents or someone to blame for bad presents... But the truth in No
First of all, Giving away all those gifts would kill him due to either heat stroke, Exhaustion or Hypothermia!
Secondly, He would be dead by now because at least some of the milk he drinks would contain either Tuberculosis or Sammanella.
Lastly, Santa was started from a genorous Saint called Nicolis who gave presents door to door hundreds of years ago.
In conclusion he's just made up... Sorry
