how do i play a song a record myself singing at the same time on audacity?

please help, i have a mic. and i want to sing while playing songs on auadacity, should i use that program or should i try something else?

Not entirely sure what you mean but:

If you mean you wanna play the song through Audacity and record just your vocals. Set up the mic, plugged into the mic or line input on your computer (you might have to mess around with the 'Sound, Speech and Audio Devices' menu on your control panel to get it working properly). Have the song playing on Audacity and output through headphones. Sing away and record.

If you mean you wanna sing and play an instrument at the same time. Set up the mic etc as above. Position the mic so that you get a nice even level between the instrument and your vocal. Play any backing track you might have through headphones. Sing away and record.
