When my father died I had a note that I owed him but later I declared bankruptcy and he was listed as a creditor and the amount included the note. When he died, the family felt I still owed him the money even though legally I didn't. I was in a pschiatric hospital for months during that time and they bullied me into signing papers that said I still owed the money and so I lost $27000 of my inheritance. That was a little over 5 years ago. Can I still contest that?

As the previous respondent said, a lawyer is going to be your best source of opinion pertaining to your chance to overturn this decision. You may be facing a statue of limitations depending upon the laws of your state, and how the money was disbursed. If you declared bankruptcy subsequent to your father's death, it's possible that they may have decided that the debt was valid at the date of death, and therefore enforced the debt as of the date of death, making your later bankruptcy moot.
