l find that belief so cute. Gold is more of a symbol of a heart's purity.
lf we all have a gold heart, no wars of any kind will erupt.

I have been fortunate to see the end of a rainbow. No gold but the sight was a wonder to behold. Worth more than gold at the time.

the pot of gold is already within your heart, so when you get to the end of the rainbow, only the true believer is not disappointed because she's carried it all along

everyone knows there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but you have to catch that little leprechaun fellow first to be able to get it !!! I'm all for it, but you have to chase the little bugger... I'll block his get away !!

The reward or "pot of gold" is the search to look for it. Kind of like, "it's the journey that is important, not the destination..."

what if its a mispelling? what if it's really just a spot of mold? or a hot or cold? possibly a lot of polled? bought & sold? what about a snotty cold? a lot gets lost in translation from gaelic to english, you know...
