I cannot imagiine life without art.. Art was the first means of communication used by man to pass on ideas and so forth. Without art, communication cannot exist and death of our species follows... we cannot survive because we wouldn't learn anything from those who came before us.

Art identifies intelligence, so in turn if we had no art, we have no intelligence, and hence become like any other animal in this earth. Again, that being the case, without art, there is no intelligence, and therefore no way to recognize or contemplate God - the one thing that makes us uniquely human.

And on the same hand, art is as necessary for life as food and water. Art, and creativity, will always come through because of our intelligence. As humans, we have the ability to create art out of anything... if you love to mop floors or build fences or be an accountant, those things can become artforms if you love to do them - it cannot be helped. Innovation always follows.

There is nothing so elementally contrasting and complementing at the same time on spiritual, emotional, and intelectual levels as art, in all its forms. This is one man's opinion... I hope you find your answers. - C

Awful - like life with colorized films including but not limited to CITIZEN KANE AND NOSFERATU... made in the days when filmmaking was mostly done in glorious black-and-white (like photography by Ansel Adams today) and was considered very much an art form.

Sorry...I'm on this tangent now because the CBC keeps airing - again and again - the colorized version of "A Christmas Carol". EwwweeeeeeYuck!

I love art! I just cannot imagine life without art. Maybe really dark and dreary and plain. Perish the thought!

Without Art, there would be nothing, not even the house you live in, your computer, your cloths, wow, the list in infinite.

Art Is Beauty. In my culture before we even know how to read or write, we are taught how to draw and paint.
