If Yao is still out with his leg during the All star break, but he is the leading vote getter, what happens, are his votes ignored or does he still like participate in whatever way, i.e. sit on the bench with the guys, and secondly, Shaq has been injured alot and not very Effective all season, I never thought he was that great, just massive, but especially this year, why are so many people voting for him. And why not so many votes for Kidd even though he is averaging almost a triple double and has as many as like the whole rest of the league

I'm pretty sure Yao will become replaced in the all-star game by someone else in the West, and not participate in anything. And as for Shaq, this year he has been a name not a player, all his votes are from prior seasons and ignorant people voting for him based off his history rather than his current season. Kidd didnt receive many votes because the East is all guards; Gilbert Arenas, Dwyane Wade, Vince Carter, Michael Redd, etc, even Iverson got some votes before he was traded, Kidd will probably get picked by the coaches for a reserve spot.

its all about popularity man, and they will have alternates......like the second leading vote getter center will probably be the starter. talk to the millions of people that be voting, just like vince carter and grant hill getting the most votes all them years. its all about that popularity, not skill
