It would be a start.

The only way to reestablish trust is to be trustworthy. I look in the dictionary but no picture of any Democrat or Republican that has served for more than one term.

Who trains the new guys?

The old corrupt guys from both parties.

It is time to remove the incumbents from office every election until we get elected official that realize that they MUST represent the citizen over every other party.

Lobbyists are there to prevent Lawmakers from doing their job.

End Lobbying all together. It is a system of bribes and payoffs.

Set up a low level committee to consider the interests of the Corporations. When in doubt the issue should always be resolved in the interest of the citizens.

Investigate and castrate the secret government. The CIA and other organizations have no oversight and unlimited budgets. This is a deadly combination, as they have proved around the world since their inception.

Make it illegal for anyone that has worked in these agencies to hold public office. They lie for a living.

Demand the immediate and complete withdrawal of ALL troops from Iraq. No bases to "Train" while we protect the US oil corporate investments. If training is really the issue, we have plenty of ways to transport troops to any of our bases in the world.

This might even improve their training by removing them from the local environment.

Demand a full accounting and official investigation into the use of Depleted Uranium Weapons, whenever and wherever they have been used. This could possibly affect the civilian populations throughout the northern hemisphere for the rest of the Earth's existence. The radioactive half-life is 4.5 Billion Years. It takes 10 half-lives to decay to near undetectable. The Sun will supernova before this compound decays away.

Complete an Investigation into 9/11, instead of non-partisan how about an independent investigation. I don't know for sure what happened on 9/11 because their are too many coincidences and far too many questions unanswered.

End the RNC and DNC whatever it takes to win policy. Laws are broken in every election and the public has little or no confidence in our election system.

If you are going to promote a better living through large corporation approach, at least set some realistic limit on the difference between the lowest worker and the CEO. If a company is profitable, then the wages of all employees should reflect that, not just the board room.

I guess the answer to your question would be no. One thing from one party would not regain my trust. I fully expect that some wise republican candidates will be supporting censure or impeachment to try to protect their jobs in 2008. At this point how can any of us trust our officials in Washington? Scandal after scandal after scandal. Large corporations and Washington's Elite. In bed (literally and figuratively) in case after case of corruption.

When the parties walked away from who is best for the job and adopted who we can get elected, the representation was lost.

When the Parties began whatever it takes to win campaigns, the Constitution and it's Laws were lost.

When the US administrations, since the end of WWII, put US Business interests (not national security) ahead of the Rights of Sovereign Nations, the whole World has lost.

Actually for those who recall Watergate, it was under the auspices of a bipartisan effort threatening to impeach Nixon that led to his resignation. Without the support and leadership of leading Republicans there is no way to impeach Bush. It would require both Republicans and Democrats to accomplish this, and in answer to your question, it Republicans began impeachment proceedings against Bush and Cheney it would do much to restore the public's trust.

Hey, BellaDonna.....News Bulletin, we HAVE been attacked again, nearly 3000 of our soldiers have been killed by what the Whitehouse calls terrorists. But I guess that means little to Bush, Cheney and the other RePug draft dodgers.

Bush's somnolence led to 9/11, despite Clinton's warnings, this incompetent fool ignored them.

And, BTW, anybody, literally anybody among the Democratic candidates, if elected in '06, will be infinitely better than the miserable failure you put in the oval.

But as far as the original question. I would be shocked. But yes, that would be very impressive.

"We Republicans?" Sorry, don't include me in your corrupt club.

Republicanism needs to die. I think people need to realize that conservatism is a failed political and economic theory. It just doesn't work. The Republicans have proven that they can't govern, they can't handle money, and they are clueless on foreign policy. Best if conservatism just rolled over and died.

It's true that many Republicans consider Bush radioactive. Hell, the ones running for office in November didn't want to be photographed with him! It would have been election suicide for them. Maybe Laura, Jenna, and not-Jenna still like Bush a little, but Bush needs to be taken out, and quickly. Along with Cheney.

Yeah, I know it's all fun and games until Cheney shoots someone in the face. Conservatism is dead. 25 years of it has proven that it just. doesn't. work.

In two more years he will have so much screwed up, this country will be all but destroyed. An impeachment would take just as long.

no, but republicans can allow another 9/11 to happen, and the people will automatically trust them.

You are one of the few Republicans I have seen here really being accountable.

Absolutely not! And give into the idiots who created this mess with their President Clinton. Let's keep ourselves and the idiots terrorist free, at least until they elect their idiot president in 2007. For they will not be denied. And then, we conservatives better run for cover. For it will only be a matter of time before we are attacked again.
