I'm looking to get back in shape after several years of no exercize or sports. I want to get into aerobic and anaerobic shape, but I don't wanna spend more than 30-45 minutes a day, three or four days a week. I don't particularly like weights, but I do want to build my muscles. I really enjoy sports though, but it's hard to play team sports more than once a week with my schedule. I don't mind jogging or running or cycling, but doing just one over and over again I find tedious. Any suggestions?

Well this is just a little suggestion on how to get started..
- Do manual laundry.. meaning, by hands, once every 2 days.
- Park your car a mile away from your destination and walk the rest
- When doing groceries, round the mart once before getting the stuff needed, and once after finish the shop

After a month of those, I guess you'll be ready for intense work out. For that, better go to a pro health instructur at the gym and a nutritionist :)
Good luck, and hope you'll get there happily :)

You cannot commit a mere 1/2 hour, 3 or 4 days a week?

You have to take a hard look in the mirror and ask, "Do I really want to get in shape?"

When a person qualifies their desire to get in shape with a long list of what they will NOT do ... how sincere are they?

Take a walk during your lunch break, or in the evening just before or after dinner. If your knees are good, take the stairs at work. Mix in cycling, jogging and other activities one or two days a week, and suddenly you are getting the regular exercise needed to be fit.

I would do cardio stuff; jumping jacks, the home trampoline, the exercise bike. Even walking your dog. If you can't play team sports go down to the rec center and swim there or even run around a track. Also, if you find more than one thing tedious switch it up, like running a triathlon by yourself. Or say "Well, I can run one day and swim the next." Hope that helps.

Have ya ever tried yoga?? It's an awesome workout. Consists of alot of stretching exercises that actually build muscle. I've tried all types, yoga is the best for me. Get's the blood pumping and muscles moving. I do it in my living room every morning for about 15 min. You will feel results right away.
