I'm looking to get back in shape after several years of no exercize or sports. I want to get into aerobic and anaerobic shape, but I don't wanna spend more than 30-45 minutes a day, three or four days a week. I don't particularly like weights, but I do want to build my muscles. I really enjoy sports though, but it's hard to play team sports more than once a week with my schedule. I don't mind jogging or running or cycling, but doing just one over and over again I find tedious. Any suggestions?

I'm looking for specific ideas, like "try shooting hoops 45 minutes a day and jogging for 30 minutes every other day" or something to that effect.

in order to get fit, raise your heartrate. when you sweat and breath heavy, youre burning calories, and thats basically all there is to it. as far as going beyond just being "fit" check out menshealth.com they have tons of good workouts using just your own body weight as well as some simple weighted exercises. also you can find out a more benaficial way to ride your bike or run or play sports, whatever you do. you can find a specific order to do any physical activity that will optimize your fat burning, muscle building machine. also dont discount good nutrition and eating 5-6 small low cal high protien meals a day. good luck

In effort to tighten-up the body, walk fast for an hour a day & increase your pace with time and comfort.

Further, I suggest doing 100 push-ups per day. If lay down a card board box, you can position you hands in-line and the cardboard will provide an amount of cushion. Reps of 30 or 40 is good. Pushups will strenghen your back and work your upper chest.

Work out, eat healthfully, get plenty of sleep, and manage stress effectively.

If you haven't exercised in a long time, start slowly, and/or see your doctor before you begin.
