What? Are you asking whether or not homosexuality began in India?

No, no it didn't.

Homosexuality has been present since recorded history, though, logically speaking, it has existed since pre-history. As is evident in simple observations of nature, homosexuality is present in many species of animals--so it has no doubt existed even before humans came onto the scene.

There is a growing body of research that indicates that sexuality (including homosexuality) is encoded in our DNA. As such, homosexuality has been present in humans for as long as humans have been present.

Even in Mahabharata there were a couple of homos but they were know as hijdas or napunsak in sanskrit. They were never singled out or socially mistreated but accepted as unfortunates.

One important thing about homosexuality in india is that homos never made an issue of their homoness like what we see in the Western countries as if homos have achieved something really special. It is a mischief that has been played by the nature with them but now it seems they are out to prove their wickness as a virtue in our society. God bless them.

Possibly it arrived in India with Muslim rulers. Muslims used to have "Khoja", the impotent in their Harems as body guards. This tradition was followed by the Nawabs also.
