Yep, I'm afraid that black is the worst color to hide anything!!! The trick is not to wash your car when it is dirty, the dirt that's on your car is what dulls your cars finish. If you can rinse your car first of most of the dirt by using a fine hair/bristle brush and a constant flow of water.. It gets the dirt off your car before you put a wash mitt to it. The mitt will continue to put dirt back into your wash bucket and then back on to your car. I use a back and forth stroke ( < > ) when I wash my cars, never circular cause that's where the spider web look comes from. If you can, start from the top of your car and work your way down, there is more dirt and grime below the fenders that you don't want to carry back up on the car. Just before you go to dry it, turn the pressure down on your hose and remove the nozzle and allow the water to gently flow over your car. This causes a sort of vacuum effect and will pull almost all the water off so there is less to dry. Don't even try to dry your car with a dry chamois...soak it in a bucket of clean water for a few minutes to get every fiber of it wet. All ways go natural, the cheaper fake chamois are just like wiping wet cloth on your face. The more you wash it the more you'll have to wax it.
Good Luck....

Chamois Cloth For Car

A soft terri cloth is probably best and a chamois for drying, make sure when you are washing your car not to use a detergent like dishwashing soap... Use a ph balanced product or even shampoo.... same as you wash your hair with..

Its always best to use a polish first , then top off with a wax to protect the polish..

I never had a problem with using a chamois but I didn't wash my car everyday, once a week was enough.

Don't WASH it with a chamois, DRY it with a chamois. Wash it with a lamb's wool mitt.

If you are going to wash the car that often, you should be waxing it often too, like once a week or every other week. Wax protects the finish. Constant washing will wash off the wax.

It's amazing to me how many people neglect to capitalize Christmas but will erroneously capitalize chamois.
