How long did it take for you to give birth...from the time labor contractions began to when they ended (when you gave birth)? Did you do anything to get them started...other than wait?

With all three of mine it took 19 hours. With my last one I was over due and more than ready to have her. I was always told if you drank castor oil that it will bring on contractions. Well, I drunk probably 3 table spoons and within 30 mins I was having contractions.

I got induced with my first two kids. It was 12 hours of contractions for my first. 12 with my second when the pain started that is not the actual full labor nad delivery. and 6 with my third. The third I didnt need any help getting them started but they sure helped to make them come faster to end the delivery quicker I had an epideral with the first two didnt need it with the third. And as I said I got induced with the first two because there was no sign of it starting on their ownand they were 2 weeks late already for both hehe.

every woman is difrent i wasn't in labor until the doctor started inducing me and then i finally went into labor and it was 2 days before my stuborn daughter decided to come out in the world and greet us but then i have a friend that went tto the hospital and with in 2 hours had her baby another on was in labor for 3 days so it depends on you and the baby you can't controll how long you are in labor or how quick it will happen good luck

having sex make them start. The sperm make you contract.
my first baby I started on July 31,2001 ending at 7:22p.m Aug. 3,2001. The pain it self started Aug. 2, it was horrible I was throwing -up, diarrhea every time I had a contraction .Days before my cervix was just one center meter dilated On the 2ND I went to hospital and they rejected me because I had not dilated enough. I was in so much pain drinking Gatorade and walking around a few blocks to help the cervix open more, my contractions were only 3min apart . Finally I could not throwing-up or poop any moor my mother took me to hospital they admittied(2:37p.m.) me with my cervix only 4center meter. they gave me some pain med. but that did not help. I was sleepy , when it was time to push I really had no energy I probably took 15 min trying to push him out He was only 6pound 10oz. My daughter was Excellent!!! I had my baby shower Mar.6,2005 my baby was born Mar.8,2005 at 8:52p.m. I started The 7th with some pain it was pretty similar with the first labor. the poop and throwing-up. the night before I had intercourse I had that with my whole pregnancy.They come and went. the 8th rolled around about 8:32a.m. I was being wheeled up to labor and delivery and right as I'm being checked in my water brakes( just like you pee on your self ).I got the epidural so there was no pain by 8:54p.m. I had a 5pound 13oz. baby girl.

First kid 1 hour 45 minutes, totally natural labor with no meds, pushed about 10 minutes
Second kid was induced, 18 hours labor, pushed for about 15 minutes

With my first kid my labor was 30 hours long. Pushed for about 5 minutes with him. With my second, labor and pushing was about 3 hours. The day before I had my first I had some spicy bratwurst, went on very bumpy country roads, had sex. With my second I couldn't do anything because I was on bed rest. He was less overdue than the first.

I was play fighting with my husband and my water broke. I was in labor for 9 1/2 hrs start to finish. (It was all natural.) The baby was six days over due.

Walk and have sex. It worked for me. First child 11 hours from first sign of labor to delivery. Nine hours with second.

1st child 23 hours
2nd child 8 hours
3 child 2.5 hours
I also had castor oil to induce the 3rd it make you poo reall bad but low and be hold 2 hours later i had a baby, i was 3 days over my due date, i drank 60 mills in OJ

i did not do anything to start my labor. my first was 8 hours and my second was 12 hours active labor.
