Give the baby as much food as he wants. No more, no less. Give the baby nothing but milk until about 6 months, and continue giving milk until one year while allowing your child to try new foods.
The child is learning when it is full, underfeeding or overfeeding may lead to problems when the child has to decide how much food to eat later in life.
Infants do not contain the bacteria etc to digest most foods like vegetables until they reach 4 to 6 months. You don't know if your child is a 4 or 6 monther, so it is easier to wait. Introducing solid foods too early is believed to cause food allergies. A generation or two ago, doctors encouraged mothers to introduce solids as early as two weeks old; so depending on the age of your doctor you may be told to introduce solids earlier. I have included a link to a site on solids.

Hi mother of 3 here, it perfectly normal for a baby ages between 6-8 weeks goes through a major growth spurt and requires more milk to grow, give it what it want to drink and it should be a happy, a babay of this size never normally drink more than it need to be full any way, so dont stree just give it 11oz and you baby should be happy once again, it will alos happen again around 4 month of age then 6 months and they you notice this happen just before you baby grows again, good luck and keep up the good work:)

Maybe he's just hit a little growth spurt, or perhaps he wants the comfort of nursing...my son wanted to use me as a pacifier so I gave him a pacifier and he was satisfied with that... so you may want to try that and see if it works. But I wouldn't worry about over feeding a baby...they only eat when they are hungry...unlike me who eats whenever I'm bored!

it is very normal, baby goes through growth spurts at 3 days, 7 days, 10 days, then every one to two weeks.
& remember every baby is different.
check with your doctor,
& I wouldnt put cereal or anything in the formula until babys doctor gives you the ok!
what works(worked) for one baby may not work for yours.

I switched my female to C&G convenience for a pair of weeks and wow the poos saved coming... Shes returned on step a million now and shes advantageous... a brilliant form of mothers and dads could replace formula's to locate the main remarkable one.. even nonetheless it may take some days for infant to settle so them do no longer give up on day one.. Baby appetites do vary-and if the baby wants more = give the baby more- be sure to burp the baby or he may throw the formula up- he must be getting to have a growing spree- and probably likes to be held=D

Very normal, especially if your baby is going through a growth spurt. Keep giving your baby as much as he wants - this is a good rule.
Good luck.

If he is this young, he is not eating out of gluttony, it is out of need. Older children are subject to advertisements, etc that make them "hungry" when they may not be. At this age, this simply is not the case. Every baby is different. If this is how yours is, feed him at his intervals.
