you can get free songs from limewire. just go to the limewire website and dowload it. there is a free version and a version that costs money, but i have the free one and it works fine. so far i haven't had any virus problems or anything and i've had it for a while. after you download it the program itself is pretty easy to use. after you have the songs downloaded, open up itunes and click file>add file to library, then find the folder limewire is saving the songs in. if you don't know you can click the options button in the limewire program and specify a folder for the songs to be saved in. good luck, hope this helped!

if u want free songs limewire is probably a bad choice, use bittorrent (it is more of a grey area method), once u get the songs, just drag and drop em' into itunes. next, plug in your ipod and go through the setup and put your music on your pod.

hahaha....no need to fear toots! For rob is here!

All you need to do, is just download all your free music off of limewire (my personal choice), and use your ipod to import your uhmm "existing" music *cough*. Your ipod should have come with some kind of goofy software, so just follow the software instructions. Apple is kind of idiot proof in a way (not calling you one) so it should walk you through pretty much everything. It will most likely be suggestive towards buying itunes of course, but just ignore that.

peace and love,
rob

you need 2 put ur songs on itunes and then connect the ipod to your computer, and it will update automatically. you should get a free song downloading program like limewire, down load your songs for free and then open them on itunes, then connect your ipod to your computer.

:D happy ipod christmas!

1.unpack the ipod
2.download itunes (from mac or pc both are free from www.apple.com/itunes) double click the file to run the setup.
3. plug in your ipod using the usb port and follow the setup assistant (after set up, leave it in to charge)
4.open itunes and use existing songs in your computer (there is an option when you setup itunes for itunes to find all preexisting music files in your computer)
otherwise, dig up all the cds you want and put them in your computer, itunes automatically detects them and asks you if you want to import them (click: yes) then all the songs are imported into your computer! if you are connected to the net, the album title and song titles are automatically added also.
5. borrow friends cd's or parents cds and put them in
6. its not safe to dl songs without paying (unless certain sites give them free ... really rare) ask your friends for their songs, and add them in!
7.plug in your headphones and enjoy! :D
