I must say that i have listened to him for years. Then i moved and he wasn't played much there. But after i heard Al Franken ripping on him about taking pills, i started again.
He is a rarity. I listen to him on my MP3 player on my way to work and i find often that he does brighten my mood in the early hours. His view of the world is an interesting one. I find myself agreeing with him often and laughing along with him even more. He is a consummate entertainer and i have not found anyone who can hold an audience like he does.
I understand that he has a rocky past, but unlike many people he hasn't pawned it off on anyone else. He doesn't want your pity, he takes full responsibility for his action and was willing to pay the price for his indiscretions.
