Buy it. 152000 miles is about 50% of the powertrain life span on full size trucks from GM & Ford. I've had no problems going past 250k on my Chevys, and when I sold them they still got over 19mpg highway and barked the tires. I only had one with a trans problem and that happened at 50k on a '95 4x4 Suburban.

Yea if it all checks out OK. Why not? That's no miles on these.
Geez lol some people with miles. Run a carfax report on it. Those will tell you a lot.
I've got a 1999 Chevy prizm with 202,000 miles, runs good.
I've got a 2001 silverado with 225,000 miles that smokes down the new 06s.
Had a 1994 silverado that now has over 300,000 original miles.
I'd do it, they are fantastic trucks!

Don't be afraid of the mileage. I drove a '93 Chevy W/T with a 4.3 V-6 over 200,000 miles and sold it to some guy that is still driving it 2 years later. Drive it...if nothing sounds or feels unusual...buy the damned thing.

That is the first year that chevy redisigned the 1500. They went to a vortec engine which is more reliable and it has more power than the old tbi engine. Make sure the suspension is still tight and ask if the intake manifold gasket has been replaced. I work for an Auto Parts store that handles ac delco parts and I have really heard good things about these engines.

I would have no problem buying any vehicle regardless of miles, it comes down to condition and knowing whats a fair market value along with having done some homework., i have come across many vehicle's with over 150K in better condition than same with only 100K..
buying any vehicle there is a process of steps to follow getting valid value for your bucks go http://www.usedcartips.org/ and navigate to THE TEST DRIVE for starters from there take 10 minutes and read the steps,.its a free website with no strings attached

Yeah chevy's are very dependable vehicles. Although some have been known for tranny problems.

check for any abuse, don't be afraid to crawl under the truck and look for major leaks( you'll get some seepage around gaskets this old and mileage), packed mud(little bit doesn't hurt)
price should be $6000-8000
