You write this so called Santa a note to get a gift or ten.

You run out to the store and buy a pile of gifts.

You wrap them up and put them under a tree.

You unwrap them and say thank you to each other.

You run back to the store on boxing day and return or exchange them.

Did that Santa do something wrong with that note or are you just lying to yourselves about his existance to play this tradition?

You think that a child is supposed to believe that this beautiful red suit is going to stay red after its' first drop through a fireplace chimney to bring gifts that are already there because someone else paid big time with a credit card!?

How about you tell that learning child the truth about it all and tell them that it's God that has done the blessing and that can happen all year, not just in the season of snow!?

first off. there are Children on this site. reading your mindless dribble. and i feel that it is offensive and downright mean to lie to them as you have done here. You may wish to force your beliefs in everyone else. but can you try just for a second to pick on someone of your own size. i would often tell someone to pick fights only with people of their maturity level but that would leave only 4 and 5 year old for you to argue with.

the suit stays red because Santa is simply Magical (something that someone like yourself cannot ever begin to understand)
the reindeer do not make noise on the roof because they do not want to wake the people up, and magical reindeer can do that.

there is no good description for what Santa is. other than that he is a spirit of a very kind hearted person that brings joy and love to the world one night a year. but he only visits those that have that same joy and love in their hearts.

I will take the word of millions of 8 year olds over your bitter hatred any day.

there is one true magic left in this world and people like you would try to remove even that sense of wonder from a child's eyes. you are a very cruel person.

yes kids Santa is real.

Rev. Christopher Jones

he brought me a present once when we really needed it and i have believed in him since.

What the hell does it matter if a child believes that a beautiful red suit is going to stay red after dropping through a fireplace? To me Christmas is not about God, or Jesus, or Santa. Unfortunately it has to be somewhat about gifts because that is a tradition. Christmas is a nice break from work or school, and a time that I come home and see the entire family.

Who says I told my kid all about Santa to begin with? Assuming a bit much, aren't you?

We do not practice Religious Rituals of any kind in my household. Considering I'm a Pagan and my hub and son are both Agnostic, there's really no reason to.

Seeing as you are wanting to tell these learning children the truth, why not start by telling them that it is a Pagan Holiday. Almost all of the traditions used for Christmas comes directly from Pagan Cultures who celebrated during this time of year. The only tradition that is unique to Christmas is Santa Claus (Saint Nicholas). Seeing as you are wanting to tell these children the Truth.

So what if kids choose to believe in Santa...
You have the same choice with GOD...do you not?

Christmas isn't even about God, or Jesus. No matter how many people SAY it is. Yeah, you can say it's not about the presents. But then, who are YOU trying to fool?

Christmas wasn't even originally a Christian holiday. It's Pagan. So chew on that.

I guess you got traumatized as a child at Christmas.

I am sorry you had such a horrible childhood that you cant allow kids to have dreams and fanciful ideas.

Santa is the idea of giving and loving. But I guess you might find that thought difficult as well considering the tone of your question.

If you want to ruin your child's youth and imagination, please feel free to tell him/her exactly how the world works, I am sure they will be grateful that they cant be imaginative or creative.

And speaking for the parts of the world who still believes in a little bit of magic and sharing this idea of joy and love and letting kids have dreams, please keep your personal feeling out of our Kids lives. Thanks.

Have a very Merry Christmas

i dont believe in santa,i stoped believing since i was 6,and i disagree with this tradition to lie the children and to make them believe fairytales.and i think is better to give the children gifts from your part, and like this the children will love u more knowing that u care bout them and their wishes, not an imaginary santa.
lies never bring something good, and the children will be more desapointed when they'll find out that all was just a lie,a trick.
so tell the truth and dont lie yourselves.

When I am buying the gifts it is my choice in saying who the gifts are from, whether it is from Santa or I . If god wants to contribute, he can put his name on his gifts.

Gosh, why am I getting such an accusational tone from this question? Could we just agree to stop using "YOU" so much and start talking in terms of personal perceptions and feelings?
