This is THE impossible question, that's like asking if it's better to have an orgasm or give one. They're both expected. Christmas is about expectations, birthdays and christmas come once a year, people will remember if you don't give them anything, and they gave you something.

If you're a person who like to receive, you may be self-centered or selfish... Sometimes, people can think HEY I GAVE THAT PERSON AN EXPENSIVE TOY AND ALL THEY GIVE ME IS A 5 BUCK PLUSHIE. It is unfair, but it's not about the presents, but about the love they spend in choosing one.
I honestly have no idea... I mean I love to give... to people I care for. This question stumps me..

To give, not just because you spent a bunch of money on someone and you feel "proud", but to see the look on someones face as they open the gift you got them. It makes it all worth while.
