Scrooge was based on a combination of what could have easily been real poeple of the time. Since Dickens wrote his books as political and social satire of the times, Scrooge may not be far off the mark. Grinch on the other hand was obviously a hard worker, had cool digs, nice dog, and a really unusual taylor to do that green outfit.
Nothing but love to you.

Well, Scrooge was cold hearted, but he didn't steal toys at any point or time. The Grinch did steal, but in a situation like this (talking about PG movies) its hard to find enough evil in them. Plus, theres a huge gap of time between these, so yeah.

The Grinch started out worse, but they both ended up being good.
Scrooge just wanted to be left alone and not required to celebrate Christmas. The Grinch didn't wan't anyone else (or should I say "anyWho") to celebrate Christmas, so I consider him to be worse.
On the other hand, the Grinch was converted simply by realizing that the Who's were still happy and celebrating Christmas without presents. By contrast, Scrooge had to have the sh*t scared out of him by seeing his own possible future, so perhaps he converted out of self-interest.

Gotta go with the Grinch. He took everything and left crumbs too small for the Who's mouses. Every year at the end of the show, where they let the Grinch carve the roast beast, I get nervous. I just know that one of these times, he's gonna flip out and carve up little Cindy Lou Who.

properly, Scrooge became chilly hearted, yet he did no longer scouse borrow toys at any element or time. The Grinch did scouse borrow, yet in a difficulty like this (speaking approximately PG video clips) its no longer uncomplicated to locate adequate evil in them. Plus, theres a brilliant hollow of time between those, so yeah. merry christmas ;]
