Ok, so I was wondering... Do we spend too much money on NASA, or not enough?

I did some figuring from NASAs fiscal budget and compared it to the expendatures on the USAs war with Iraq. I was surprised to learn that if we doubled NASAs budget, it would still take 150 years for NASA to cost as much as that one war. I personally think that exploring the vast wonders of the cosmos is much more worthy of my tax dollars than killing a bunch of people.

So should we be spending more on NASA?

Yes, alot more.

And we will, when the Japanese or the Europeans or some other country returns to the moon & establishes a base there and everyone notices what has been badly neglected for so long.

NASA and any attempt to venture into the depths of our universe for that matter has been greatly underfunded since the days of the Space Race between the United States and Russia. We have unlocked a few aspects of our universe, but there is still so much more to learn. NASA needs greater funding, and they need it now!
