Santa Claus is good for two reasons: He is a good way to get kids to behave by threatening no presents by Santa Claus because "he knows when you've been bad or good". Also, he has become a social tradition that has been passed down between generations because of traditions. My parent's knew he was not real when they told me about him as a kid, but their childhood memories of the presents and joys, the cookies left out for him were something they wanted me to enjoy as well. Why ruin a good thing for future generations? It's fun, not harmful.

Most people do it to teach their children the spirit of Christmas which is Love, and children relate better to something they can actually see. There may not be a Santa Claus in the commercial sense that he is most often portrayed in now, but there really was a man who distributed toys to the children of his village many years ago, and there really is Jesus the Christ child born in a stable and layed in a manger. Christmas is the celebration of Jesus's birth, and therefore the ultimate Love!!

people impose santa because it's a good feeling to think that there's someone there (even though fictional) that has the holiday spirit.

well that isnt exactly true you see Christmas is suppose to be about celebrating Jesus's birth right well God was the reason Christmas started he sent his son here to die on the cross for our sins so we can go to heaven someday if we accept Jesus as our savior so God is Santa after all he gave the best gift anyone could ever give no one can top that gift.

Because most people are like goats, they go wherever the herds go....without asking if it is right or wrong!
There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.(Proverbs 14:11-13) BLESS GOD!
