I seem to have some sort of sticky material on my car windows that will not come off with windex or window cleaner. I am not sure what it is, but I think it most likely has something to do with trees, as the car is outside most of the time I am at school.

Try holding your thumb over the end of a Coke and shaking it up and spraying it on the windshield while running the wipers. The Coke will clean the windshield and the wiping surfaces of the wiper blades. Then hose the windshield or do it in the rain.

Coke is best because the acid in the pop cuts the grime. The reason for washing after is that the acid also is not good for the car finish.

The car dealerships use a large quantity of windex and use steel wool instead of a rag or paper towel. They have to do this to take off the sticky stuff left by all the tags and price stickers on the car without leaving smudges. Just make sure you keep the surface your working on wet. Also, if something still remains, they use a razor blade to shave it off.

When I worked at Enterprise Rent-a-Car washing cars, we used a razor blade to take the stickers off the car windows. Try using the window cleaner, and angle the razor blade to take off the sticky residue.

You can try Goo Gone. It takes most sticky things off. Or try baby oil. Either way, you'll have to wash with Windex again

Easy...spray window cleaner on the sticky stuff, then scrape it with a razor blade. The goop will come right off. (This is a car dealer's little secret).

Try clear vinegar. The acid in it takes away the stickiness but does not damage the glass. X

Windex is good... Clorox. If all else fails, use Lemon Juice, or Club Soda and see if that helps

Goo Gone
I'm sure it will do the trick. You can get it just about anywhere, but here's a link so you can order it or so you at least know what it looks like. Oh yeah, it smells really good too!
