DVD/CD Doctors work pretty well, I have had limited success with toothpaste, I have also tried butter with some success, wax supposedly works (haven't tried it though), and electronics stores and CD sellers can usually do it for $0-5 depending on the damage if you can't get anything else to work.

The toothpaste method only works for small scratches not big ones. There are other commercial product that can repair scratches but if the scratch is too deep, i doubt that it will even work. You can try them out but i would suggest you make a copy of your disc or buy another one.

Buy a scratch remover kit.

I've had success with car wax also.

And of all the DVD's to have a scratch on..... I love that movie!

Skillet has a good idea, car wax usually works. However, if this doesn't work, I'm sure a nearby Blockbuster has another copy (yes, people like Fight Club).

See if you can find a place in your area that buffs discs. If not, I bought one on line a few years ago and it worked pretty good.
