I passed the CBest by buying a guidebook to study. There are a couple out there. Then, I made flashcards with the question on one side and the answers on the other. I carried these in my back pocket and pulled them out every time I had to wait in line somewhere. By the way, I was a single mom with two young children at the time and I passed with flying colors.

I know I am going to get a thumbs down for this and it's "not" helpful, but anyone who doesn't pass the CBEST on the first try should NOT be a teacher. Seriously. Please reconsider your profession. If you care about kids at all, please do not teach.
