I was 7 months pregnant and experienced what doctors refer to as a still birth (my baby boy died in my tummy). this was in september, i had to go thru labor and delivery. worst experience of my life, to give birth to a baby that you want so much and than he is just taken form you.

well soon after i got pregnant again, this was kind of a mistake, but i was and so was my hubby! doctor said losing the new baby would not happen, the odds are slim,... i had a miscarriage last week!

i guess what i want to know is if there are any test out there that me and my husband can look into, any specialist anything,.. so that the next time i try to get pregnant this wont happen. has this happened to anyone, how did you deal with it?

i can get pregnant and carry full term, i have a 7 year old,.. ? so what could be wrong?

First I am sooo sorry for your loss.

Did you doctor give you a reason for the passing of the fetus? This could answer some questions for you. Is this the same father as your first child? It is possible the two of you carry some jeans that not compatable...

Talk to your doctor.

And as a side note any doctor that would tell you something like miscarriage 'won't' happen...should be striped of his license. Anything can go wrong during those first 12 weeks that no one is guaranteed someting will or won't happen. A possible reason for the second miscarriage (after the fetal death) could be it was too soon. Your body did not have enough time to heal to be able to keep the embryo attached.

Best of luck to you!

I am so sorry to hear about your lose. My best friend of over 10 years lost a set of twins just a little over a year ago. She had had a miscarriage a few months before that. You should talk to your OB/GYN about seeing an fertility specialist. I was always told growing up that God never puts more on you then you can handle. Good luck and I hope all works out for you.

Sorry for your loss.

I had this happen to me, I had my daughter with no problems and she was 4 and I had 2 miscarriages and my doctor sent me to the infertility Dr. and they were wonderful. They did several tests on me and my husband, I had no problems getting pregnant just staying pregnant to full term. They helped me and now I have my beautiful son, It did take over a year to figure out what was wrong but it was worth it.

I would ask for a referral from your Ob/gyn to a fertility specialist.

My sister has had two felled pregnancies. Last Dec. she was four month along and she developed preclaimcyia that is when her blood pressure become so high that they had to take the baby or she would die. the baby lived for three day and passed from being so small. April she tries again six month pregnant it happen again. I'm not sure if age has a factor or any previous S.T.D but consult with your OB/GYN. She has a 13 yrs.

I am so sorry to hear of your losses. There is so much tech. on this matter I don't know why your OB can't refer you to some one who can run these tests. Lahey clinic Boston Ma. is an excellent place!! I wish I could give you the 1-800 number I don't have it anymore. Maybe there is a simple matter your Dr. is overlooking. Good luck!!!

1- Plan when you want to get pregnent so you avoid walking and running and having rough exercises that time.

2- start taking FOLIC ACID, before 3 months of getting pregnant.

3- NO PRATYING and ofcourse no DRINKING!

4- Avoid caffeine ( COFFE -TEA ...etc)

5-Eat healthy food

6- DO NOT EAT raw meat such as sushi, seafood, rare or uncooked beef.

7-DO NOT EAT raw eggs, or foods containing raw egg such as Caesar dressing, mayonnaise, homemade ice cream etc.

8- DO NOT EAT fish containing accumulated levels of mercury in their fatty tissues such as shark, swordfish, king mackerel, tilefish.

and GOOD LUCK :)

well, your blood type could cause a problem.....only if you are a negative blood type and father is positive. that can cause antibodies that would kill off the fetus, the antibodies take the fetus for a foreign object to destroy, not a child.

hopefully that isn't the case...but it is a problem that is easily solved with a shot in the beginning of pregnancy, and again after delivery. best of luck to you.
