Well, I guess eating a big juicy steak is not my first suggestion.
and let me see...telling your husband about your boyfriend won't be in the top 10 list of how to celebrate, unless of course he falls on a big huge knife while chasing you around trying to cut your head off for being a cheater (of course, I am not judging, I am just saying) Okay, Hindu girl, I am having a hard time wrapping my head around total information you give. I guess I don't know where the husband, the boyfriend and celebrating Christmas all come together. How about this...on Christmas you have a birthday party for Jesus and you treat him as the guest of honor. And then when the party for the birth of Jesus has ended you get back on this computer and we will tackle the Husband/Boyfriend Drama? How's that? I can't wait un till tomorrow. I'll be looking for you. You can tell me direct if you want. You already know it is yahoo. Really, I never knew you all had infidelity there. s10912001@

The best way to learn this is to find some catholics (I know a few of these); they are in every country, stole the holiday from the pagans but have a good attitude about it now and know how to have fun. I don't recommend learning from the protestants, fundamentalists or born-again types (I know many of these). They are relatively new to the holiday, were originally opposed to it and have a stale, rigid approach to it. They are not a fun bunch. And to this day, they try to change it to something it is not.
Forget the snowmen. We don't have snow in Hollywood, but we still celebrate christmas.
Get some eggnog, some red and green lights, buy or make some gifts for loved ones (hmm... a little polyandry going on????), wrap them, put them under a tree, make lots of your favorite foods and share with your family and friends.
AND, give to the less fortunate.
Merry Christmas

christmas is generally regarded as being the "birthday" of Jesus Christ, whom Jews accept that he existed, Christians accept as their saviour and the Messiah, and the Muslims regard as one of the prophets (if i remember that part correctly). while this is likely to be historically inaccurate (the shepherds keeping watch over their flocks by night probably would have frozen in december) with the real date being closer to march or april.
here in the united states it has become a secular (non-religious) holiday to many, with the main activity being the buying and exchanging of gifts, which are hopefully meaningful to the giver and the recipient. the other common activity engaged in on Christmas is feasting...on turkey or goose or christmas ham (derived from the hind leg of a pig...not kosher to Jews, nor among the favored dietary choices of Muslims)
that is not to say that no one observes the religious side of the holiday. some people still do...they attend a christmas morning church service, or some Catholics will attend a midnight mass

The best way to celebrate Christmas is to help the deserving children or suffering people at hospital.

Celebrate Christmas however you want. I'm sure you could find some traditional Christmas websites. Maybe someone could help you with that.

You need to be in spirit of festival to celebrate any festival. Don't bother how ... just be in festive sprite and enjoy it.
PS: You also have personal problem too ... can't help you in that.
Being true to yourself and others is the best way to celebrate any day.
