I take mine to my local Video Rental store. They have a machine that cleans and polishes damaged DVDs from people renting them. The 'cleaning' only takes a minute and the machine does all the work. I offer to pay but as a goodwill jesture they don't accept any money. Their 'cleaning' almost always restores the damaged DVD.
