i was experimenting with bondage in my sexual activity. i was suspended from the ceiling, standing on my tip-toes. the rope felt tight but i went along with it. after 20 minutes of this my left hand fell asleep and it hasn't gotten better. it's been 4 days and i don't know if i should be concerned. i've never experimented with this kind of thing before. i'm ashamed to go to the doctor. it's a tingling sensation that starts right above the wrist bone and moves downward to the nerve inbetween my thumb and forefinger. anyone got any advice? help!

You've damaged or impinged a nerve, and you should see a doctor immediately...like now. Lose the timidity. Forget about how it happened and go see about your self.

You have probably injured the distal median or radial nerve in your wrist. Your symptoms are characteristic of nerve trauma and not circulation. Nerves heal very slowly, so don't be surprised if it takes 2 weeks or longer to heal completely. If the sensations aren't gone in month, the damage could be permanent.
