In a macramé flavor, preferably. I lack the beads that most of the patterns tell me that I need to have.

Again, I don't have enough beads to do most of them.

I've never done macrame, but it's not that difficult a thing to make... Some have the longer strap leading up the foot, but to get a 'flipflop' look is even easier. It's a string that loops around the second toe, crosses on top of the foot and gets tied behind the foot; by making a knot (any kind, fancy or less fancy) where the threads cross near the toe you keep it from sliding. I made some from thin leather without ever using a pattern.

If you want to get fancier, you can also use a 'hand flower' pattern with a bit larger/longer loop and longer fasteners in the back. I don't have a step-by-step pattern for these either but I made them from the pictures, like those listed in the source; some are pretty complicated but there are some pretty simple & straightforward examples too.

There is a free pattern site out there somewhere. I can't remember the name. Try doing a search.
