It means that you own the property identified on the deed.

How would you go about what?

More details, please.

This may be that you own a piece of property, but also it actually may mean nothing. If you signed this deed originally, then you'd own a piece of property. Since you don't seem to be able to remember this, and you probably found this piece of paper, more than likely your name is not on it, and if not, then it means nothing to you.

Go to the county building, into the Recorders office, and ask them what piece of property is referred to on the deed, and who now owns it. That should clear things up.

It means you own the property. You can go about it legally by not breaking the law.

If your name shows as the owner and it's recorded, it means you own a piece of fee simple property.

Unless that deed has your name on it, it's pretty much useless.
