I have found that if you leave well enough alone, the jealousy fades. Honey, I really wish I had an answer- it's a mystery to me at times too. I often think it is because of a lack of confidence in themselves, seeking an outside source, like high school cliques- does that help?! I know that is one thing I went through.

I don't know that I've personally ever seen jealousy manifest from deprivation of attention. I've seen obnoxious behavior, and some men getting verbal abusive when I would give into their overt cat calls and crude pick up lines .

because it makes them feel that they dont matter to you and that they are unimportant as opposed to the people you are giving attention to and they find it insulting

if it is your friend and your hanging around some people he/she might get jealous over that.....invite her to your social group
