my husband recently had a vasc. reversal ( oct 18th). We just got the results back from the doc and the reversal worked. In fact they said he has a high sperm count and that they all look good ( motility and everything) i know that it's only been a few months but we have intercourse every time im ovulating and no luck yet. is it possible that I may not be fertile?? and are there any ways to tell your fertility other than a physical???

My husband and I tried for 2 years to conceive and I didn't conceive until I finally stopped stressing about it. Stress can contribute to your not getting pregnant. Perhaps you should try some relaxation techniques/prayer.

First off seeing a DR will not do you any good until you have been trying for a year. OK now you need to be doing your thing every other day. It is better to have his little men waiting for your Egg than your Egg waiting for his men. Sperm lives longer than the egg does. Now relax and don't worry about it undue stress will cause you not to ovulate. and yes it is possible to have a period without ovulation.

The chance of a couple with normal fertility getting pregnant is 20% per cycle (ie 80% not getting pregnant). Give it few months more.

of course you will need to get checked for female factor of infertility. simply ruling out male factor wont be sufficient, and this should have been done before your husband went for vasectomy reversal. anyway, you can still go ahead. keep in mind that a large number of cases are so called unexplained infertility. so ultimately you may not get any cause for not getting pregnant.
you will need to get follicular studies, hysterosalpingography, a post-coital test (if needed), and in some cases hystero-laparoscopy.

Give it some time :-) It's only been 2 months - don't start stressing about it. Chances are good that in a few months you'll be pregnant.

See a doctor...but I would have thought that they would have tested you before doing a reversal on him.

Good luck and Merry Christmas!
