okay, i have DSL and a netgear wgr614 v5 router. about once or twice a day i have to go downstairs, unplug them both, plug dsl modem back in, wait until it has power and dsl connection, then plug router back in. It fixes the prob. of no connectivity but yet i have to do it very often. i also discovered today that the exact time i reset these things under the status of the signal it says that it is leased. Any answers greatly appreciated.
happy holidays and cheers!

I had the same problem until I installed a battery backup on the router and cable modem/dsl box.
No one could figure it out. I call tech support for everyone.
Brown out in the power company was the problem. Just like when the lights go dim when the washer and dryer turn on.

I would try calling Netgear's support and asking if there is a firmware upgrade for your router. I had the same issue with my linksys router at this one place I lived at, and it ended up being the cable connection.

When I moved to another apartment, the cable connect was with adelphia and it hasn't had any issues in the 6 months that I have been there.
