First, go to a drug store and check your blood pressure on one of those free blood pressure machines. If your blood pressure is okay then you might try taking a decongestant because if you are prone to allergies or even if you are not you can have some fluid behind your ear drum. Because you only hear it in one ear would make me more inclined to think that is fluid behind your ear drum rather than high blood pressure. If it is painful though you should really see a doctor because a simple infection can turn into something very serious. If it is not hurting I would try a decongestant like Pseudophed which you will have to ask a pharmacist for

Yes, I have heard of that.
Now, I am not a Doctor by a long shot, but I think it could be a narrower artery, something like that.
I don't think it's a big danger.
Maybe check out webmd.com? They know a lot and they can help.
Have you got high blood pressure? Maybe telling this to a doctor would be a good idea. To make sure it isn't a hardening of the arteries, or something. And they should be able to help fix it.

according to what you describe, there are many possibilities:
1- ear infection, but this has many other prominent symptoms like severe ear ache.
2- hypertension, ie high blood pressure, you can rule it out by measuring your blood pressure
3- narrowed artery inside your skull, which is very serious and you should see your doctor
4- dilatation of vein (aneurysm) inside your skull, which is very serious and you should see your doctor
5- the most probable is this is transient effect of your psychologic status
eventually, see a doctor

Are you sure it doesnt sound like rain fall or static..if so that has to do with your ear drums and you damaging them, if thats the case, visit your doctor. Otherwise you are totally in tune with your body, you are silent or still enough to feel and hear your body. Talk about listening to yourself! Youre good to go kiddo!

You may have a build-up of wax in your right ear, or a slight infection. Try getting some drops from the drug store.

I get congestion in my head prior to a headache, and will hear the blood rushing in my ears.(I get migraines) It could be that, or some fluid on your eardrum amplifying it.If it continues, go see a dr and have them check it out
