1 - false, it's not true when x = 4.

2 - 720-190 = 530

3 - 24 = .4*P ---> P = 24 / .4 = $60

4 - sqrt(18) + sqrt(50) = sqrt (9 * 2) + sqrt(25 * 2) = 3sqrt(2) + 5sqrt(2) = 8sqrt(2)

5 - 2x-3y-15=0 --> -3y=-2x+15 --> y = (2/3)x - 5 :: slope = 2/3

6 - d = 12/pi

7 - A1 = 1^2 = 1 A2 = 5^2 = 25 A1:A2 = 1:25

8 - There are 5 letters so 5 * 4 * 3 * 2 * 1 = 5! (five factorial)

9 - none, the closes equidistant point is 5 from both of them.

8.How many different 5 letter arrangements can be formed in the word READY if its used once?
5! = 120
This is a basic permutation formula.

9.The distance between points R & S is 10 units. How many points are equidistant from R & S and also 4 units from S?

The locus of points equidistant from two given points is the straight line that is the perpendicular bisector of the line segment between the given points.

Now, the line segment between R & S is 10 units. So the point equidistant between R & S is 5 units away from both points. All the other points on the perpendicular bisector are farther away. Since all points on the perpendicular bisector are at least 5 units away from R & S, none are as close as 4 units. So the answer is zero.

I'm assuming this is about the area of a circle, which the formula for is pi x (r squared). Pi is usually figured as 3.14, so it's just 3.14 times the square of the radius, which means that increasing the radius of the circle will also increase the area of a circle. If you already know the area of a circle, to get the radius, you would first divide the area by 3.14, and the radius will be the square root of whatever remains. For example, if you were given a radius of 3 cm, the square of that would be 9 cm squared, and the area would be 9 cm squared x 3.14. You just turn the equation around to do it in reverse and get the radius.
