You can't re-gift it back to anyone where it would get back to the original giver. Then it's ok! Merry Christmas!

I think it's ok sometimes. Just don't specifically ask for items for the purpose of regifting.
I recieved some nice decorations for my home at a Christmas party. I really liked them, but I knew my daughter's babysitter would enjoy them more, so I re-gifted them. (well, most of them) I was happy knowing that someone thought of me, and I didn't feel bad for not fully appreciating my gift. The person who gave it to me got to feel good knowing they gave me something I thought was pretty, and the person who recieved it will get to enjoy it all year long! ... All is good as long as you don't throw it in the face of the original giver or end reciever that they gifts are not going where they were originally intended.
If you are considering regifting something, first think of how the original giver feels about the present, then how you would feel about it. ... If one present can bring smiles to the faces of many people, that is a good thing! Any time someone gets me pretty (but not too expensive) flowers, I share some with my daughter and she shares some with other people. It is nice to see so many peoples' days brightened by one gift.

It is just fine as long as the person you are giving it too doesn't know that it has been re-gifted.

I used to think it was not so good, but Christmas has gotten too commercial. So, as long as no one ever will find out, why not?

It's tricky, because they might find out. I've regifted to people across the state but I would never do it within my family or friend circles because sooner or later it will come back to me.

I have done it and think that it is completely ok. As long as you remove the tag so that the other person doesn't know that you are regifting it.
