If each pen is aprox. 1ounce and all were thrown out in a year....that would be about 501,875,000lbs of plactic tossed into the landfills per year.

What about all of the other trash that is bigger and weighs more than that, Wow, there is alot more we throw away everyday that is worse than the bic pen..
