Spend some time at the library.

While at the library, ask them for a list of private special interest groups within your community. The cover all sorts of things such as painting, reading groups, music groups, shooting groups. In my community we have over 400 such groups. You should be able to find something of interest there.

If not there is volunteer work. Volunteer for the Boy Scouts of the Girl Scouts, or working with elderly, or working with the local humane society. There is lots to do.
