It could be anything like bleeding piles, or dysentery, or constipation, or even simply rough rubbing of a sensitive part of your anatomy. If there is some symptom like pain, you can get some clue. The colour of the blood also gives an indication of what it could be. If you bleed for a day or two more or have symptomatic pain, it is better to show it to a doctor.

If you are consitpated and your bowels are hard when you pass it if will rupture the vessels in the rectum and that can create some irritation and bleeding. You should drink at least 8 glasses of water everyday and eat plenty of fibers. But in the other hand, if you do not have a consitpation problem and you blead everytime you have a bowel movement, then you need to go see a doctor and get screaned for rectal cancer.

Straining could be one reason. Are you eating to much red meat. Eat more fiber, that's what the Doc told me to do, and it cleared up. Maybe get checked for Hemroids. Your 23, I would not be concerned about cancer. If you were over 35, I would be getting that checked. Do what I suggested if it don't clear up, go see the Doctor. I'm sure your fine.-EVIL ERICK

Possibly straining or a case of hemorrhoids. Nothing to worry about for now but if this continues, see your doctor as the condition is easily monitored and fixable.

Nothing to worry about, except some dietary changes. Try drinking more water and eating a lot more fiber. If you are straining you will cause that to happen, and if you are eating healthy, you won't strain.

Make sure you drink at least five glasses of water a day to loosen your bowels...you may have torn something through straining or you could have hemorroids. If it doesn't go away soon, go to the doctor.

?????? A little blood or alot of blood? Could just be damaged skin around the area and by wiping you disturbed the scab/healing process.

Could of been a result of shaving around the area, a scratch or wiping too hard/roughly.

well i have had alot of bowel and booty problems lately i actually recently had a colonoscopy and im 20. I bleed bright red blood when my bowel movements are too hard and large my doctor recommended fiber supplements and stool softerners which you can take frequently. Its very important to take fiber i got so constipated i tore myself down there and have anal fissures and its un comfortable its nothing to worry about unless its constant. if you get fissures you just have to hope they heal or have surgery or take stool softerners good luck its not fun to bleed down there.
