It's not unusual for it to happen every once in a while, but if it's happening more than, say once for every 10 hours you are listening to it, then something is not right IMO.
I would suggest wiping it and reinstalling the songs first.
You might also look to see if there are any firmware updates you can install. Firmware is the (semi) permanent software hard-coded to your MP3 player that it operates on. Companies that make the MP3 players sometimes release an update or patch to fix or improve the way it works and you can download to your computer and then to your MP3 player. Apple definitely does this, so if it's an iPod, check for a firmware update online. If it's another brand, then check their website for firmware updates.

If you leave it in the freezer, sure. Or if you live way north.
Otherwise, consider changing the batteries. It might also need to get reformatted and/or a particular sound track replaced (if it's poorly formatted and causes your player to lock up). Try playing the same track(s) from your computer, or recopying them.

Mine Freezes and I push the reset button. Then it turns off and u turn it back on. I dont know if its normal but i sure don't like mine freezing.

My ipod has froze a few times...
just let it sit until the batteries die, than plug it into the computer and recharge it.......
It has happened like 3 times, and i have had my player for about 7 months....

Why dont you google it? i've got been given right here throughout the time of a few great documents.. yet I have not any pastime in it.. i've got been given right here throughout the time of that it performs mp3 in ordinary words.. and allot of themes you attempt to located on it you will desire to remodel..

yes if you over load it with memory or have a weak power supply.check both and disconnect the entire system for 30 seconds to allow it to reset itself.
